город и курорт
A resort city on the South China Sea with a long beach right in the centre, islands in the bay and hot springs. A good fit if you want the sea and city life at the same time.

best time
January to August; rain and storms mostly from October to December
highlights
Nha Trang is a beach holiday in city form. Hotels line the seafront with the beach just across the road, surrounded by restaurants, cafés, massage parlours and markets. It is popular with couples, groups of friends and families who value amenities and being able to walk out of the hotel.
If you want complete seclusion and a resort hotel on large grounds, look at the Cam Ranh area to the south or the island of Phu Quoc. Nha Trang also works well as a base for excursions: islands, hot springs and mountains.
Nha Trang’s climate differs from southern Vietnam. The sunniest time is January to August, with spring and early summer considered the best for the beach. Summer is hot, but there is a breeze on the shore.
October to December is the rainy season, with typhoons and big waves. Swimming is sometimes not allowed and boat trips get cancelled. That is why Nha Trang is chosen for New Year less often than Phu Quoc. More details in our guide on when to go to Vietnam.
Centre, Tran Phu Street. The seafront with the city beach, hotels with sea views and restaurants. Convenient for a first visit.
North side. Closer to the Po Nagar towers and the springs; quieter, with local cafés.
South side of the city. The area by the port and the cable car to the islands, with newer hotels.
Cam Ranh. A resort area near the airport, about 40 minutes from the city. Large hotels with private beaches and peace and quiet. For families with young children and those who plan to stay at the hotel.
Hon Tre Island. Self-contained resort complexes with an amusement park, reached by cable car or boat.
A boat trip around the bay islands with snorkelling stops is the main activity. Hon Mun Island is known for its coral reserve. There is diving for beginners and experienced divers alike.
The Po Nagar towers are a Cham temple complex more than a thousand years old. Long Son Pagoda has a large Buddha statue on the hill. There is also a neo-Gothic Catholic cathedral.
Mud baths and hot mineral springs in several complexes on the edge of the city. Massage and spa treatments on every corner.
Da Lat in the mountains is a city with a cool climate, lakes, waterfalls and flower farms. Set aside 1–2 days for it. Waterfalls and villages around Nha Trang can be seen in half a day.
9–12 nights is ideal. One week for the beach and islands, and the remaining days for the springs, Da Lat or a trip to another region of Vietnam.
The first two days: the city beach and walks along the seafront. Day three: a boat trip around the islands. Day four: the Po Nagar towers, Long Son Pagoda and mud baths in the evening. Days five and six: beach and spa. Days seven and eight: a trip to Da Lat with an overnight stay. The last days back by the sea. If you are staying in Cam Ranh, allow extra travel time for excursions into the city.
Flights from Tashkent: our manager will find direct and connecting options. Citizens of Uzbekistan need a visa for Vietnam, usually an e-visa. More in our guide to the Vietnam visa.
City roads are busy with motorbikes, so cross the street calmly and at a steady pace. Use ride-hailing apps for taxis. The sun is strong, especially from April to August. Medical insurance is a must.
Island boat trips can be group or private, and the difference in price and comfort is noticeable. Check the forecast before going: trips may be cancelled if the sea is rough. Mud baths and springs are best visited on weekday mornings, as weekends bring many local visitors. Cash in dong comes in handy at the markets.
Rules are given as of October 2026 and may change: check with our manager or the official embassy website before you travel.
Tell us whether you want to stay in the centre or the resort area and which dates you have in mind. Send a request, message us on Telegram @GlobalDestination1 or call +998 99 760-82-88: our manager will arrange the hotel, visa and flights to Nha Trang to fit your budget.

January to August: sunny with a calm sea. October to December is the season of rain and storms, when swimming may be impossible, so many people choose Phu Quoc for the winter holidays.
The centre suits those who want to walk around and visit restaurants and markets. Cam Ranh is better for a quiet resort stay at the hotel, but it is about 40 minutes from the city.
Citizens of Uzbekistan need a visa to visit Nha Trang; an e-visa is usually arranged in advance. Our manager will confirm the process and timing, and our Vietnam visa guide has the details.
Usually 9–12 nights. That is enough for the beach, the islands, the springs and one trip to the mountains of Da Lat.

Vietnam is an affordable alternative to Thailand: the sea, islands, delicious food and a strong sightseeing programme, from Ha Long Bay to old Hoi An.

A tropical island in southern Vietnam with white beaches, night markets and a long cable car over the sea. A great winter beach option for families and couples.

An ancient capital with lakes, the narrow streets of the Old Quarter and street food. From here you head to Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh and the mountains of Sapa.

Vietnam stretches from north to south, so in the same month Hanoi can be cool, Nha Trang rainy and Phu Quoc sunny. Here is where to go at different times of year.

Citizens of Uzbekistan generally need a visa to travel to Vietnam. The easiest option is an e-visa applied for online. Here's how it works and where people most often make mistakes.
