Indonesia Tours from Tashkent

Indonesia has thousands of islands, but for most travellers it means Bali first of all: rice terraces, temples, the ocean and retreats. Gili, Java and Komodo are right next door.

Who Indonesia is for

Indonesia is for those who want a long and varied holiday. Couples go to Bali for their honeymoon, surfers for the waves, and yoga and wellness fans to Ubud. Families with children go too, keeping in mind the long flight and choosing the right area.

It is a destination for travellers who want more than a beach: volcanoes, rice terraces, waterfalls, temples and wildlife are all within a few hours’ drive. Ideas for a wedding trip are in our selection of honeymoon destinations.

Seasons: when to go

The dry season runs roughly from April to October: less rain, lower humidity and the best visibility for diving. The tourist peak falls in July, August and over the New Year holidays, when villas are booked well ahead. A summer holiday in Bali fits nicely with the school holidays; for other options, see where to go in summer.

From November to March it rains, usually in short, warm bursts. This period suits those who are ready for changeable weather in exchange for quieter beaches.

Islands and regions

Bali

Bali is the main island for tourists. In the south are Canggu and Seminyak with cafés and surf spots, Uluwatu with its cliffs and sunsets, and quiet Nusa Dua and Sanur for families. In the centre is Ubud with the Tegallalang rice terraces, the Monkey Forest and yoga centres. The north and east have waterfalls, lakes and Besakih Temple.

Nusa Penida and Lembongan

Islands half an hour from Bali by speedboat. The famous Kelingking Beach, swimming with manta rays and crystal-clear water. You can go for a day, but it is better to stay the night.

The Gili Islands and Lombok

Three small car-free islands with turtles close to the shore. Lombok is calmer than Bali and suits those who want unspoilt beaches and the Rinjani volcano.

Java

Borobudur and Prambanan near Yogyakarta, sunrise on the Bromo volcano and the blue flames of Ijen. Java is often added to Bali for 3–4 days.

Komodo and Labuan Bajo

Komodo dragons, a pink beach and some of the best diving spots in the region. You get there on a domestic flight.

What to see

  • The Tanah Lot and Uluwatu temples at sunset.
  • The Tegallalang and Jatiluwih rice terraces.
  • Sunrise on the Batur volcano.
  • Kelingking on Nusa Penida.
  • Borobudur on Java.

Where to stay in Bali

In Bali, choosing the area matters more than choosing the hotel. Canggu and Seminyak are for those who want cafés, surfing and nightlife, but the traffic jams there are serious. Uluwatu offers cliffs, ocean views and a calm atmosphere. Nusa Dua is a gated resort area with large hotels and a calm sea, convenient for families. Ubud is the cultural centre in the jungle: no sea, but terraces, temples and yoga.

A popular choice is a private villa with a pool: it is often comparable in price to a hotel room and gives you more space. Getting around is easiest by car with a driver, which you can hire for the whole day.

How many days to plan

The journey from Tashkent to Bali is long, so 12–14 nights is ideal: a week on the coast, 3–4 days in Ubud and a trip to the islands. If you want Java or Komodo, add 3–4 days.

Entry and practical tips

Entry rules for citizens of Uzbekistan need to be checked before the trip, as the lists of countries eligible for a visa on arrival and an e-visa change. Bali also charges foreigners a tourist levy. Your passport must be valid well beyond your trip and have blank pages.

Be sure to take out insurance that covers active pursuits and scooters; see our guide to travel insurance for more. In temples you need a sarong, with shoulders and knees covered.

Rules are given as of October 2026 and may change: check with our manager or the official embassy website before you travel.

FAQ

Do citizens of Uzbekistan need a visa for Indonesia?

Entry to Indonesia depends on the list of countries eligible for a visa on arrival and an e-visa, and that list changes from time to time. Our manager will check the current procedure for citizens of Uzbekistan before booking.

When is the rainy season in Bali?

The wet season in Bali runs roughly from November to March. Rain usually falls in the evening or at night, so a holiday is still possible, but the dry months are better for trekking and island trips.

How many days do I need for Bali?

At least 10 nights, ideally 12–14. That lets you stay in two areas, such as Ubud and the coast, and take a trip to Nusa Penida or the Gilis.

Is Bali good for a holiday with children?

Yes, if you choose areas with a calm sea: Nusa Dua and Sanur. The west coast has big waves, which is great for surfers but not for small children.
